About me
I'm Alex Cortes.
UX/UI and Product Designer with over a decade of experience in design. Graduated in Social Communication with a focus on advertising in 2008, I spent 6 years working as a Graphic Designer until I turned to UX in 2015.
As an optimist and design thinker who loves human beings, I approach both experience design and leadership with a focus on people, striving to establish empathetic thinking for the individuals who create and use the products and services I help bring to life.
Throughout my career, I've led design teams in software development companies, start-ups and I'm part of the UX talent team at Toptal, the largest international outsourcing company for technology professionals. In all of these experiences, I have strived to create user-centred experiences that meet both business and user needs.
My UX practice blends product design, design thinking and UX strategy. I have a Post-graduate Certificate in User Experience Design, which brings me up to date with the latest trends and practices in the field.

In my current job, we have three different projects. One of them is Livings.de Livings is a platform that connects landlords and tenants interested in negotiating rental units.
I guided the design decisions for this project from end to end.
In my opinion, it's a good way to start exploring my portfolio.
